Admissions Requirements
At University of Minnesota (UMN) Morris, we use a holistic review process when looking at applications. That means we consider your full academic record (grades from freshman through senior year) and, if you choose, your ACT/SAT scores. You can also share an optional personal statement or letter of recommendation.
If you’ve experienced challenges or setbacks in school, we encourage you to include a statement. This gives you the chance to tell us what you went through, how you’ve grown, and how you see yourself succeeding and contributing to the Morris community.

How does your college support students who are interest in careers in the trades?
UMN Morris partners with four Tribal Colleges and Universities — three in Minnesota and one in South Dakota — to support students who begin in trades programs and want to continue their education. Through these partnerships, students can smoothly transfer to Morris and pursue a bachelor’s degree that helps open the door to new career opportunities.
